Hand Papermaking using jute coffee bean sacks, coffee grounds, and a double-shot of espresso can perk-up your papermaking and caffeinate your creativity! Attendees will learn how to incorporate plant fibers into pulp then pull sheets of paper from a slurry of cotton rag, jute coffee bean sacks, coffee grounds, and black coffee to create a textured paper suitable for printmaking, bookbinding, or watercolor. The workshop integrates conservation, recycling, plant science, and the Western technique of hand papermaking using cotton rag. Paper can be pulled, pressed, and dried in workshop.
